Terms of Service
These terms govern use of Mahad OCR, operated by Mahad Information Technology.
The service
Mahad OCR converts documents you submit into text and structured data through a web dashboard and an HTTP API. Mahad Information Technology provides the service on an "as available" basis and may change features with notice.
Your account
You must give accurate registration details and verify your email address and phone number before scanning or creating API keys. You are responsible for everything done with your account and API keys. Keep API keys secret; disable a key immediately if it is exposed.
Acceptable use
You may only submit documents you have the right to process. See the Acceptable Use Policy for prohibited activity.
Accuracy and human review
OCR output is a machine estimate, not a certified transcription. Field status marks (confirmed / check it), MRZ check-digit results and other validation results are indicators only. You must apply human review before making decisions that affect a person’s rights, employment, immigration status, finances or safety.
No verification of authenticity
Mahad OCR does not verify a document against any government or third-party register, and does not perform biometric identity verification. MRZ check-digit and editing-software signals indicate that a document deserves human attention — they are not forgery detection, and not proof of forgery or of genuineness.
Plans, quotas and payment
Each plan includes a monthly document quota and rate limit. Usage beyond the quota may be charged as overage on paid plans. Prices shown on the pricing page are current.
Suspension
Accounts may be suspended for non-payment, abuse, or activity that threatens the security of the service or other customers.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the three months before the claim. Mahad OCR is not liable for decisions you make based on extracted data.
Changes and termination
You may stop using the service and request deletion at any time. Material changes to these terms will be announced before they take effect.
