Build with the Mahad OCR API
One upload endpoint, one predictable JSON response, per-tenant keys and quotas. Start with a key and a cURL call.
Your first request
curl -X POST https://api.mahadocr.com/v1/documents/upload \
-H "X-MahadDoc-API-Key: mk_live_YOUR_KEY" \
-F "[email protected]"Get an API key
Create an account, verify your email and phone, then generate a key in the dashboard.
Authentication
Two ways to authenticate: an API key for machine access, or a JWT for dashboard sessions.
Upload a document
POST a file as multipart form data. PNG, JPG, PDF up to 10 MB.
Retrieve the OCR result
Processing is asynchronous. Poll the document until it leaves the processing state.
Webhooks
Receive a callback when a document finishes processing instead of polling.
Error codes
Every error returns a stable machine-readable code inside an error object.
Rate limits and quotas
Two independent limits: requests per minute, and documents per month.
Supported documents
What the API can read today, with each document type’s own reference page.
Code examples
Upload and retrieve in cURL, Python and TypeScript. Keys and data below are synthetic.
